Navigate to it via Program Files > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Redistributibles > Direct X and then click on DXSETUP to update Direct X You essentially need to run the Direct X setup again.
Works for others: this one seems to work for a number of people given the comments online. I finally found this solution as I noticed that Google Chrome had no sound either and that was where I noticed this fix. Check if the sound is muted and if so, unmute. GTA V needs to be running or it won’t appear. Worked (for me): as per the video, right mouse on the audio icon in the bottom toolbar, open up the ‘Volume Mixer’ menu. The same way i have Custom Loadouts of a gangster, terrorist, mafia and so on.So, I’ll start with the fix that worked for me and then list some of the other solutions for no sound that I researched: I am not American, i am not trying to offend anyone or anything i am just trying to recreate the lifestyle of a few people who live in the US.
